Each year, the Fort Worth Biblical Counseling Association presents three conferences under a specific, timely topic. The topics vary, but speak directly to issues that combat biblical living and family values. There is no set cost for the conference. The recommended donation toward conference expenses is $10 per person. You can make a donation at the door or anytime during the conference.

About Dr. Hamm
Andrew T. Walker serves as the Director of Policy Studies for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the denomination’s entity tasked with equipping Christians and local churches to address ethical issues facing society and the church. In his role, he researches, speaks, and writes about Christian ethics, public policy, and the church’s social witness. 

His writing and commentary have appeared in such outlets as National Review, Public Discourse, First Things, The Federalist, The Gospel Coalition, TIME, and elsewhere. He serves as the Director of the ERLC’s Research Institute, and also as a Research Fellow. Prior to working for the ERLC, Andrew served as a policy analyst with The Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society. He was featured by the New York Times as one of America’s “undaunted” young leaders in defense of marriage. His first book with co-author Eric Teetsel is titled Marriage Is: How Marriage Transforms Society and Cultivates Human Flourishing (Nashville: B&H) and was published in June 2015. He is the editor alongside Russell Moore of the Gospel for Life series (B&H 2016). He is the co-author of the First Freedom small group curriculum published through LifeWay. His most recent book is God and the Transgender Debate: What the Bible Actually Say About Gender Identity?, which published in August 2017 and won The Gospel Coalition’s 2017 Public Theology book award. He serves on the religious leaders advisory council of the Better Angels Project that works to decrease political polarization in the United States. 

He graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Southwest Baptist University in 2008. He received his Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010 where he concentrated in culture and worldview studies. In 2018, he received a Master of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Ethics from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary under the supervision of Russell Moore. His dissertation focused on religious liberty in evangelical social ethics. Andrew has academic interests in Christian sexual ethics, human dignity, family stability, gender, anthropology, natural law, public theology, and church-state studies. Each year, the Fort Worth Biblical Counseling Association presents three conferences under a specific, timely topic. The topics vary, but speak directly to issues that combat biblical living and family values. Several churches have agreed to underwrite the cost of the conference, and a love offering will be taken that ensures that all expenses are met.

About Dr. Hamm
Steve Hamm is the senior pastor at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Cincinnati. He holds a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is an ACBC certified biblical counselor. Steve has also authored various books and articles on theology and apologetics and has developed an evangelism series, Answers for Life. Steve is married to Trish and has two adult children. He is passionate about the supremacy of Christ and the sufficiency of Scripture.
